This accession consists of the personal papers of Lisa Taylor, Director, Smithsonian Associates (TSA), 1966-1968, and Director, Cooper-Hewitt Museum (CHM), 1969-1987. These materials document her personal correspondence and professional activities as well as her transition from TSA to CHM and the administration of CHM. Materials include correspondence, memoranda, postcards, photographs, invitations, clippings, reports, brochures, newsletters, and related materials. Also included are several manuscripts related to the exhibition "Disegno: Italian Renaissance Drawings and Design for the Decorative Arts" (1997) which were added to the materials after Taylor's death.
