The Nancy A. Faller collection consists of official papers, personal correspondence, printed materials, news clippings, and photographs, all relating to her service in the United States (U.S.) Army Nurse Corps during the Vietnam War. The official papers discuss preparing for service in Vietnam and appreciation for her service. The correspondence is from Faller to her family regarding travel to Vietnam; treating wounded soldiers; Christmas; surgical techniques; volunteer work at a Vietnamese leprosarium and an Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN) hospital; rest and relaxation (R & R) trips to Hong Kong, Bangkok, and Seoul; recreational activities; use of MARS radios and cassette tapes to contact family; and problems with getting mail in a timely manner. The printed materials include information on a leprosarium and on the 173rd Airborne Brigade. The news clippings are about the service of Faller and her sister Mary Faller. The Jack Dykema collection spans the years 1941 to 1960, with the bulk of the material concentrated between the years 1943 to 1945 while he served in the U.S. Army during World War II. The collection contains personal correspondence, printed materials and photographs. The personal correspondence, which is the bulk of the collection, includes letters sent by Dykema to his girlfriend, and later wife, Lou Denning, while Dykema was training at various military installations in the U.S. or while serving in Hawaii and the Philippine Islands in 1945. In the letters, Dykema discusses training, living conditions, field maneuvers, his role as a commanding officer, the daily life and activities of a soldier, and missing his loved ones. The personal correspondence also includes letters from Dykema to his parents, Tunis and Louise, and some letters from friends and family to Dykema and his wife. The Harry G. Emigh Jr. collection contains materials regarding his education and military service in the United States (U.S.) Army during World War II and the Korean War. The collection contains correspondence, official papers, personal papers, photographs, and negatives. The correspondence primarily consists of letters to his mother, Louise, from 1942 to 1952. The official papers are related to his service in the U.S. Army, and include one folder of information on his father, Harry G. Emigh Sr., who served in the military during World War I. The personal papers consist of materials regarding veteran's benefits and 2nd Infantry Division Association reunion trips to Korea and various places in Europe. The bulk of the photographs consist of Emigh's tour in Germany during World War II and several reunion trips to Korea and Europe

The William L. Hazen papers contain his diary expressing his thoughts while traveling from Tampa, Florida, to Santiago, Cuba, and his experiences in Cuba during the Spanish-American War. The bulk of the collection consists of Hazen's correspondence with his mother, father, and his wife, Olive Hazen, regarding his experience in Cuba and the battles being fought against Spain from May to October 1898. The collection also includes two special orders regarding a leave of absence, a telegram to report to the armory dated 18 April 1898, and materials regarding his wife's activities in support of soldiers' relief societies
