Carol Truscott was part of San Francisco's kink scene in the 1980s and early 1990s, and edited the Sandmutopia Guardian and Dungeon Journal, a S&M how-to publication written for all genders and sexual orientations. The collection contains material from the Outcasts, the 15 Association, KISSSM and the Society of Janus, as well as extensive records from the Sandmutopia Guardian and Dungeon Journal.

Nina Jo Smith is a Bay Area songwriter and guitarist. A student of martial arts, she also taught self defense and devoted herself to non-violence work for 20 years. The collection includes newsletters from the National Women's Martial Arts Federation, circa 1987-1992; and records documenting the Pacific Association of Women Martial Artists, including by-laws and articles of incorporation, board materials, flyers, newsletters and photographs, circa 1990.

This collection contains VHS videotapes, trophies, posters, and ephemera from past International Ms. Leather and Ms. SF Leather events, International Mr. Leather and Mr. SF Leather events, Drummer events, and Club Townsend materials. Joseph was a San Francisco-based club manager, LGBT rights activist, record executive, former President and current member of the San Francisco Entertainment Commission. She also worked for Megatone Records and was involved in the marketing and promotion of Sylvester. This collection documents her involvement in LGBTQ events, clubs, and entertainment around San Francisco.

Dorothy “Dotty” Ann Fowler (1927-2013) was raised in the suburbs of Philadelphia. She moved to the San Francisco Bay Area in 1966, came out and lived openly as a lesbian and devoted herself to improving the lives of LGBT people, especially elders. She received many awards in recognition of her work with LGBT seniors. She had an avid love of boats and sailed into her 70s. Fowler received her MFA in creative writing from San Francisco State in 2005. The bulk of the collection consists of her poetry.

This collection contains materials related to Lesbians and Gays of African Descent for Democratic Action (LGADDA), formerly the Black Caucus of the Harvey Milk Lesbian and Gay Democratic Club. LGADDA was founded in early 1992; their goal is to bring the issues of Black lesbians and gays to the forefront of the political process. The LGADDA records include correspondence, flyers, materials regarding a 1995 banquet, meeting minutes, a political action manifesto, proclamations and commendations.

Carol Rossi is an activist who has participated in a number of organizations and protests, including Digital Queers, the Dyke March, Lesbian Avengers, protests against the film Basic Instinct, and Queer Nation. The collection contains organizational records, meeting minutes, subject files, ephemera, artifacts, and t-shirts from various queer activist groups, both in San Francisco and nationally.
